Management Accountant Management Accountant will be joining a well-established organisation on a hybrid basis, with one day per week based on the Isle of Wight. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and hands-on finance professional who enjoys working with large volumes of financial data and taking ownership of their workload. Working as part of a collaborative finance team, you will play a key role in delivering accurate monthly management accounts, supporting budget holders with financial information, and contributing to the organisation's budgeting, forecasting, and year-end processes. You will also act as a key contact during the external audit and help ensure financial information is accurate, timely, and compliant. What you will be doing - Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts. - Analyse month-end income and expenditure, identifying and explaining financial variances. - Support budget holders by investigating and resolving financial queries. - Prepare month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations. - Manage and reconcile restricted funds, ensuring records are accurate and up to date. - Support the budgeting and forecasting process, including financial analysis and reporting. - Assist with the preparation of year-end statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors throughout the audit process. Skills and experience - Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role. - Strong management accounting and financial control experience. - Confident analysing financial data and explaining variances to non-finance stakeholders. - Proactive, organised and able to work independently using your own initiative. - Strong Excel and financial systems skills. Qualifications - ACCA, CIMA or equivalent (part-qualified, qualified, or qualified by experience). Accounts and Income Assistant Industry: Charity Location: Newport Hours: flexible, up to 15 hours per week, worked over 2-3 days within office hours Days: flexible, Monday - Friday Duration: Temp to Perm for the right candidate ( may be Permanent from the outset dependent upon candidate) Duties: Purchase Ledger, including liaising with suppliers, ordering stock, coding of invoices, raising payments and reconciliations. Fundraising administration including thanking donors and banking monies received, collection box coordination, managing community fundraising platforms, updating and maintaining database. Experience: Must have previous accounting experience and a minimum Level 2 AAT qualification ( or equivalent), experience of working with the charity sector is an advantage. Must have a good level of numeracy and accuracy with the ability to organise workload to deadlines. Must have good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a small team. Must have a good level of computer literacy including Xero and the ability to learn new systems.
