Bookkeeper Fast-paced team environment in Hilo looking for hard working, customer service oriented, detail driven candidates who love numbers and organization. Applicants must be fluent and comfortable in: Computer use Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel Quickbooks Online Applicants must have data entry, bookkeeping or other applicable experience, have reliable transportation, be able to lift 25 pounds, be at least 21 years old, and enjoy working on a busy team. Position is part time approximately 3 or 4 days per week with a flexible work day hourly schedule. Training starts at $20/hour and multiple positions are available immediately. JB.0.00.LN

JOB SUMMARY This role reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances. Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries. RESPONSIBILITIES - Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries. - Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal id numbers; scheduling and preparing checks, resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation, insuring credit is received for outstanding memos, as well as issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments. - Pays employees by receiving and verifying expense reports and requests for advances; preparing checks. - Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential and continuously improve the payment process. - Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances. - Process customer credits. QUALIFICATIONS Education - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience - Proven working experience as accounts payable clerk.
