Every day will be different, with the opportunity to investigate losses, solve problems and help customers through what can often be a stressful and difficult experience. Your responsibilities will include: - Managing a varied caseload of domestic property claims - Carrying out site visits across Scotland and Northern Ireland - Investigating the circumstances and cause of each loss - Assessing policy coverage, damage and potential claim values - Producing accurate, detailed and timely reports - Maintaining appropriate reserves and keeping all parties updated - Liaising with policyholders, insurers, brokers, contractors and specialist suppliers - Negotiating fair and appropriate claim settlements - Identifying potential fraud, recovery and subrogation opportunities - Delivering excellent customer service throughout the claims journey - Managing your workload effectively and meeting agreed service standards What we are looking for You will need previous experience working as a Domestic Loss Adjuster and should be comfortable managing claims independently in the field. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well established and growing accountancy practice where you'll work with a varied portfolio of clients, build long term relationships and become a key member of a supportive tax team. You'll report directly to the Tax Manager and work alongside an experienced team of six to seven professionals. This role offers genuine career progression, with the opportunity to become the team's technical specialist and progress into management as the department continues to grow. What You'll Be Doing No two days are the same. You'll combine compliance, advisory work and client management while working with a diverse portfolio across personal and corporate tax. Your responsibilities will include: Reviewing personal and corporate tax returns prepared by junior team members Managing your own portfolio of clients and acting as their trusted adviser Providing tax compliance and advisory support across a broad range of tax matters Building strong client relationships and delivering an exceptional level of service Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues Assisting with more complex tax queries and technical matters Identifying opportunities to improve processes and add value for clients Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who enjoys working closely with clients, takes pride in producing high quality work and is ambitious to progress their career.
