HR and Compliance Administrator
Temporary - Initial 4-6 weeks Marham Full-time, ideally 5 days per week Immediate start
Macildowie are delighted to be supporting a not-for-profit organisation in Marham with the appointment of a HR & Compliance Administrator on a temporary basis.
This is an important short-term assignment supporting the organisation with a detailed review of its staff records and wider compliance documentation. The role would suit someone who is highly organised, methodical and confident working through large volumes of administrative information , rather than someone looking for a traditional HR role.
Working closely with the existing team, you will help ensure that staff files are complete, accurate and fully up to date, while also supporting a range of wider administrative tasks across the setting.
Key responsibilities will include:
-
Auditing staff files to ensure they are complete, accurate and compliant.
-
Chasing outstanding DBS identification documentation and ensuring records are correctly maintained.
-
Reviewing staff qualifications to confirm they are current, relevant and supported by the appropriate evidence.
-
Checking staff suitability declarations are completed and up to date.
-
Ensuring appropriate documentation is in place where required, including risk assessments, healthcare plans and occupational health recommendations.
-
Tracking outstanding actions through to completion and maintaining accurate compliance records.
-
Completing and updating rotas and other staff administration.
-
Supporting the completion and maintenance of allergy plans.
-
Working through the wider compliance action plan and helping to close outstanding actions.
-
Identifying gaps in documentation and helping to put effective administrative processes in place to prevent these recurring.
About you
We are looking for someone who is organised, thorough and comfortable working independently through detailed administrative tasks . You will need excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify missing information, follow up with colleagues and maintain accurate records.
Previous HR or compliance experience would be useful, particularly within an education, care, charity or other regulated environment, but this is fundamentally an administrative role and we would consider candidates with strong general administration experience who can demonstrate a methodical approach.
You will need to be comfortable handling confidential information and working through paper-based records, with the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload.
A current DBS certificate with the individual registered on the DBS Update Service is essential for this assignment.
The role
This is an initial four-to-six-week temporary assignment , with the potential to extend depending on the workload and progress made.
The role is fully site-based in Marham , as the majority of the work involves reviewing and updating physical staff files held at the setting. Unfortunately, there is no scope for the role to be carried out remotely.
Ideally, the organisation is looking for someone who can work five days per week , as the additional resource will enable this important compliance work to be completed as quickly as possible. Four days per week may be considered for the right person if necessary.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator to make an immediate and tangible contribution, helping the organisation ensure its records and compliance processes are fully up to date and inspection-ready.
