The role This is a great opportunity for an experienced practice professional to join a close-knit and high-performing team. You'll take ownership of your own client portfolio, working with a range of owner-managed businesses across different sectors, while also supporting the wider team with reviews and workflow management.

The role offers a broad mix of responsibilities across accounts and tax, with the opportunity to get involved in audit work where required. It's well suited to someone looking for a varied position with scope to make a real impact within a growing office.

Key responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of clients, acting as a key point of contact throughout the year

• Preparing statutory accounts for a range of business types and sizes

• Producing corporate tax computations and handling related queries

• Reviewing accounts and tax work completed by junior team members

• Coordinating workloads and ensuring deadlines are met across the team

• Advising owner-managed businesses on financial and business matters

• Supporting with technical queries across accounts, tax, and audit

• Assisting with audit assignments where required

About you

• ACA or ACCA qualified

• Minimum of 4 years' experience within an accountancy practice

• Strong technical knowledge across accounts and tax

• Experience managing a client portfolio

• Commercially aware with a proactive approach

• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines

• Confident using accounting software and Microsoft Office

• Full UK driving licence and access to a car
