Full-time office-based role
Salary £35,000-£40,000
We are recruiting for an experienced HR Generalist to join a busy, site-based Human Resources team within a well-established manufacturing environment. This is a full-time, office-based position offering the opportunity to play a key role in supporting both operational and strategic HR activities across the site.
Working closely with managers and employees, you will provide hands-on HR support across the full employee lifecycle, helping to drive people initiatives, enhance employee engagement and ensure HR best practice is consistently applied.
Key Responsibilities

Support the delivery of HR strategies, policies and procedures across the business.

Partner with managers to provide practical HR guidance on employee relations, performance management, absence, conduct and capability matters.

Assist with recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning activities to ensure staffing requirements are met.

Coordinate learning and development initiatives, helping to build employee capability and support succession planning.

Support the implementation of people-focused projects and organisational change initiatives.

Contribute to employee engagement activities and help foster a positive workplace culture.

Work closely with leadership teams to provide coaching and advice on people management matters.

Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies and HR best practice.

Produce HR reports, monitor key people metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality is upheld at all times.

Collaborate with wider HR and shared service teams to ensure an effective and professional HR service.

Undertake additional HR duties and projects as required.
Skills & Experience Required

CIPD qualified or educated to degree level in a relevant subject.

Previous experience within a generalist HR position.

Sound understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.

Experience supporting employee relations cases and advising managers.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively at all levels.

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Confident using HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Professional, discreet and able to handle confidential information appropriately.
