Credit Analyst Trainee

Civista Bank is seeking a Credit Analyst Trainee to join our Finance department in the Banking, Insurance & Investment industry. This entry-level role supports community-focused lending by analyzing financial statements, cash flows, and collateral to assess credit risk and inform sound loan decisions. The trainee will assist in preparing credit memos, monitoring portfolios, and learning underwriting standards and regulations. Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements and cash flows to assess borrower creditworthiness

• Assist in preparing credit memos and risk ratings for commercial and consumer loans

• Support underwriting by gathering and validating financial and collateral information

• Monitor existing credit relationships and portfolio performance

• Collaborate with relationship managers and finance team to structure sound credit solutions

• Learn and apply bank credit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

• Prepare reports and summaries for credit committee review
