Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist

MV Transportation seeks a Workers Compensation Specialist to manage end-to-end workers' compensation claims for a large, safety-focused transportation operation. In this role, you will coordinate incident reporting, medical management, and return-to-work plans for employees across paratransit, fixed-route, shuttle, and student transportation services. You will collaborate closely with HR, Safety, Operations, TPAs, and insurers to ensure timely, compliant claim handling, accurate documentation, and strong customer service to injured employees while supporting MV's culture of safety, respect, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Administer end-to-end workers' compensation claims, from first report of injury through closure

• Coordinate with employees, supervisors, TPAs, and insurers to gather documentation and ensure timely claim processing

• Monitor medical treatment, work status, and return-to-work plans in collaboration with safety and operations teams

• Ensure compliance with state workers' compensation laws, OSHA recordkeeping, and company policies

• Maintain accurate claim files, reports, and metrics; identify trends and recommend risk-reduction strategies

• Support development and implementation of modified duty and return-to-work programs

• Partner with HR, Safety, and Operations to improve incident reporting, training, and workplace safety practices

• Assist with claim reviews, audits, litigation support, and settlement negotiations as needed Required Skills
