Senior Solutions Engineer

Cable One (Sparklight) is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to join our Sales & Business Development team in the telecommunications sector. In this customer-facing role, you will partner with account executives to design, present, and validate high-speed internet, video, and voice solutions for business clients. You'll translate technical requirements into scalable network architectures, lead solution demos, support RFP responses, and ensure smooth handoff to implementation teams. Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical advisor to sales and business development teams for telecommunications solutions.

• Lead customer discovery sessions and requirements gathering to understand business and technical needs.

• Design end-to-end broadband, data, voice, and managed network solutions leveraging Sparklight's service portfolio.

• Create detailed network architectures, diagrams, bills of materials, and level-of-effort estimates for proposals and RFPs.

• Present and explain technical solutions to both technical and executive customer stakeholders.

• Validate solution feasibility within existing and planned network footprint, coordinating with Network Engineering and Operations.

• Support implementation teams with design clarification and ensure solutions meet agreed service levels after deployment.

• Collaborate with product teams to provide feedback on customer needs and influence product roadmap and enhancements.

• Mentor junior solutions engineers and sales staff, sharing best practices and standard solution templates.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of telecommunications technologies, competition, and industry trends.
