Senior Financial Navigating Specialist

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Senior Financial Navigating Specialist to guide patients through complex financial aspects of care while supporting provider revenue goals. In this role, you will conduct insurance verification, estimate patient responsibility, explain coverage options, and structure payment plans to reduce financial stress for patients. You will analyze account trends, identify barriers to reimbursement, and collaborate with revenue cycle, clinical, and customer service teams to resolve issues. This mission-driven position combines analytics, systems expertise, and compassionate, patient-facing support to improve financial outcomes and experiences.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through healthcare financial obligations, including coverage, estimates, and payment options.

• Perform insurance verification, benefit analysis, and pre-service financial clearance.

• Create and manage patient payment plans aligned with organizational policies and patient needs.

• Analyze accounts to identify reimbursement issues, trends, and improvement opportunities.

• Collaborate with revenue cycle, clinical, and customer service teams to resolve complex financial cases.

• Educate patients and staff on insurance, billing processes, and available financial assistance programs.

• Use revenue cycle and EHR systems to document interactions and maintain accurate financial records.

• Monitor key performance indicators related to collections, denials, and patient financial experience.

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, payer rules, and internal financial policies.

• Mentor junior staff and share best practices in financial navigation and revenue cycle workflows.
