Senior Finance Assistant Up to 40K DOE Full time or part time hours available East Grinstead

Lloyd Recruitment Services are working with a successful SME in East Grinstead who are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Assistant to join their team.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can hit the ground running, take ownership and ensure the finance function runs efficiently.

Key duties of the Senior Finance Assistant:

• Overseeing day-to-day purchase and sales ledger

• Processing invoices, payments and bank reconciliations

• Managing credit control and outstanding payments

• Supporting month-end, including accruals, prepayments and journals

• Preparing and reviewing monthly P&L accounts

• Liaising with the external Accountant and resolving queries

• Taking ownership of finance tasks and ensuring deadlines are met

• Supporting and motivating colleagues to maintain efficient workflows We are looking for:

• Previous accounts/finance experience, ideally at senior level

• Xero experience - essential

• Strong knowledge of purchase/sales ledger, reconciliations and credit control

• Strong Excel skills, including formulas and data handling

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Confident challenging and querying where required

• Proactive, hands-on approach with strong ownership

• Ability to support and motivate others What's on offer:
