Senior Accountant

Sigma Technologies, Ltd., a Perrysburg, OH telecom and utility engineering firm, seeks a Senior Accountant to lead core accounting and reporting. In this role you will manage the general ledger, month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations; prepare financial statements and management reports; support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis; and coordinate audits and tax preparation. You will improve accounting processes and controls, support project accounting and revenue recognition, and partner with engineering leaders to provide financial insight that supports growth, quality, and compliance in a collaborative, learning-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger, month-end close, and journal entries

• Prepare financial statements and internal management reports

• Perform account reconciliations and ensure GAAP compliance

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

• Coordinate annual audit and support tax preparation

• Enhance accounting processes, controls, and documentation

• Support project accounting and revenue recognition for telecom/utility projects

• Partner with project managers to provide financial insights

• Assist with cash flow monitoring and working capital management

• Develop ad hoc analyses to support strategic decisions Required Skills
