Property & Casualty Insurance

Midwest Family Mutual Insurance Company seeks a Property & Casualty Insurance professional to help underwrite and support auto, home, farm, and commercial policies across our regional footprint. In this role, you will assess risk, analyze applications and loss histories, and recommend appropriate coverage and pricing while ensuring regulatory and guideline compliance. You will work closely with independent agents, claims, and customer service teams to deliver responsive, personalized solutions that protect policyholders' homes, autos, and businesses and support long-term relationships and growth.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and evaluate property & casualty risks for personal, farm, and commercial lines.

• Analyze applications, reports, and loss histories to determine appropriate coverage and pricing.

• Collaborate with independent agents to structure competitive, compliant insurance solutions.

• Support claims and customer service teams with coverage interpretation and policy questions.

• Monitor portfolio performance, identify trends, and recommend underwriting actions.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, company guidelines, and best practices.

• Communicate decisions and recommendations clearly to agents and internal stakeholders.

• Participate in professional development, mentoring, and cross-functional initiatives.
