Project Accountant

Sigma Technologies, Ltd. seeks a Project Accountant to support telecommunications and utility infrastructure projects. In this role, you will manage project cost tracking, client billing, and revenue recognition for multiple engineering and design engagements. Responsibilities include preparing budgets and forecasts, monitoring labor and subcontractor costs, maintaining WIP schedules, and partnering with project managers to analyze variances and profitability. You will ensure timely, accurate invoicing, support month-end close, assist with audits, and improve financial reporting processes in a collaborative, engineering-driven environment focused on quality and growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage project accounting for telecom and utility infrastructure projects

• Prepare and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports

• Track labor, materials, and subcontractor costs against budgets

• Prepare accurate, timely client invoices and support collections

• Maintain WIP schedules and assist with revenue recognition

• Collaborate with project managers on variance and profitability analysis

• Support month-end close and project-related journal entries

• Assist with internal and external audits and documentation

• Develop and improve project financial reporting tools and processes

• Ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP standards Required Skills
