Pricing Planner

Join Drexel Building Supply as a Pricing Planner and help shape smart, competitive pricing for lumber and building materials across our Wisconsin locations. In this role, you'll analyze costs, vendor quotes, and market trends to set and maintain pricing that supports our builders, contractors, and homeowners while protecting margins. You'll partner closely with sales, purchasing, and operations to support bids and large projects, maintain accurate pricing data in our systems, and provide clear, data-driven recommendations. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain pricing for lumber and building materials across product lines and locations.

• Analyze costs, margins, and competitive benchmarks to recommend pricing strategies.

• Support sales teams with timely, accurate quotes and special pricing requests.

• Review vendor quotes and update price files to reflect current market conditions.

• Collaborate with purchasing, sales, and operations to align pricing with inventory and demand.

• Prepare pricing models for bids, projects, and large contractor accounts.

• Monitor performance of pricing programs and identify opportunities to improve profitability.

• Maintain accurate pricing data in ERP and other systems, ensuring data integrity.

• Communicate pricing changes and rationale clearly to internal stakeholders.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of pricing tools, processes, and reporting.
