    Job Description

    Robert Half are exclusively working with a long-established, family-focused business in the heart of the Cotswolds to recruit a Payroll Administrator. The company is growing and modernising, and it's investing in its people and services while staying true to its community values. You'll be the go-to person for accurate weekly payroll data. You'll also give the wider operations team practical administrative support, so this suits someone who likes variety and being close to the day-to-day.

    Payroll Administrator Salary: £35,000 per annum Location: Bourton-on-the-Water, Cotswolds Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

    Key responsibilities

    • Prepare and submit accurate weekly operational and payroll data for frontline colleagues

    • Check clocking records against scheduled duties, investigating and resolving any discrepancies

    • Manage holiday allocation for colleagues in line with business needs

    • Act as a first point of contact for colleague queries by phone, email and in person

    • Work closely with HR on colleague administration, including starters, leavers and employee updates

    • Support day-to-day site operations, assisting the operations team when required

    • Handle justified complaints through informal discussions

    • Order and distribute uniform, and maintain the related records

    • Manage petty cash, prepaid cards, cash machine issues and cash variances

    • Keep accurate records, update internal systems and complete general administrative duties

    • Support the wider team and promote company values at all times About you

    • Experience in payroll administration, including checking and correcting payroll data

    • Experience working within a finance team

    • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with rota systems

    • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with excellent attention to detail

    • Able to prioritise your workload, meet deadlines and work independently
