The Best Connection a recruiting Refuse Loader / Waste Collection Operative in the Halifax area

Days: Monday to Friday

Start Times: Between 5:00am and 7:00am depending on allocated route

About the Role

We are looking for Refuse Loaders who like an early mornings, working as part of a crew, you will assist with the collection of household and commercial waste and recycling across designated routes.

This is a physically demanding role that involves working outdoors in all weather conditions and requires a strong focus on safety and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and load waste and recycling materials safely and efficiently.

• Work alongside the driver and fellow crew members to complete assigned routes.

• Follow all health and safety procedures at all times.

• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with members of the public.

• Ensure vehicles and equipment are used correctly and maintained in a clean condition.

• Support operational requirements as directed by supervisors.

What We're Looking For

• Good level of physical fitness.

• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Positive attitude and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

• Previous experience in waste collection, labouring, or a similar role is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided.
