IT Asset Management Coordinator

Sierra, a division of XYZ Tech Inc. in Chicago, IL, seeks a Back Room Coordinator to support IT operations behind the scenes. In this role, you will manage software and hardware inventory, coordinate deployment schedules, maintain configuration records, and ensure accurate data entry in asset management systems. You'll collaborate with IT, engineering, and vendor partners to track orders, monitor service tickets, and optimize back-end workflows. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable with databases, spreadsheets, and basic IT support processes in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and track IT hardware and software inventory

• Coordinate deployment schedules and back-room workflows

• Maintain accurate configuration and asset management records

• Support purchase orders, receipts, and vendor coordination

• Monitor and update IT service tickets and status reports

• Analyze inventory and usage data to optimize stock levels

• Ensure compliance with IT and data handling procedures

• Collaborate with IT, engineering, and operations teams

• Prepare routine reports on assets, tickets, and performance
