    WHAT WE NEED

    The HR Manager, Generalist serves as the on-site face of Human Resources and the primary contact for

    employee workplace matters at our Bend headquarters and production facility. This hands-on role

    manages HR operations, employee relations, payroll coordination, recruitment and compliance while fostering a positive and productive workplace. The ideal candidate is approachable, organized, and able to balance employee support with business needs in a fast-paced environment.

    In addition to the responsibilities outlined, this role may encompass other activities consistent with the

    expectations of the position and the evolving needs of the business. As the company grows, there will be

    opportunities for expanded responsibility and professional development within the HR function.

    Employee Relations & Workplace Support

    • Serve as the primary HR representative for Bend-based employees.

    • Address employee relations issues with fairness, discretion, and sound judgment.

    • Encourage open communication between employees and managers while knowing when to

    escalate issues to leadership or corporate HR.

    • Coordinate workers' compensation cases, claims, accommodations, and return-to-work

    processes.

    • Promote a workplace culture of respect, inclusion, and accountability.

    Benefits, Leave & Employee Communications

    • Act as a local resource for benefits, leave programs, with a focus on Paid Leave Oregon.

    • Communicate clearly with employees about benefits, eligibility, and policy updates.

    • Partner with payroll and benefits providers to resolve issues efficiently.

    • Support open enrollment and assist with new-hire benefit orientations.

    Payroll & HR Systems

    • Partner with Accounting to support and audit payroll for accuracy and compliance.

    • Partner with Finance to ensure proper timekeeping, PTO tracking, and overtime reporting.

    • Maintain accurate employee data in HRIS and assist with system updates or integrations.

    Recruitment & Onboarding

    • Support local hiring needs for production, operations, and office roles.

    • Coordinate onboarding and conduct 30/60/90-day check-ins to ensure smooth integration.

    • Assist managers with job descriptions, interview scheduling, and offer coordination.

    Compliance & Policy

    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (Oregon focus).

    • Maintain organized personnel files and documentation for audits.

    • Support implementation and communication of company policies and SOPs.

    • Coordinate or assist with mandatory trainings such as safety and anti-harassment.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

    • 5+ years of progressive HR or People Operations experience, ideally in manufacturing or food &

    beverage.

    • Working knowledge of Oregon employment law, workers' compensation, and leave programs.

    • Experience with payroll and HRIS systems (Paycor, Paylocity, Gusto, or similar).

    • Strong communication, problem-solving, and confidentiality skills.

    • Approachable, empathetic, and business-minded in decision-making.

    Must be able to work onsite daily
