HR Manager

KARM Stores is seeking an HR Manager to lead human resources operations across our East Tennessee retail locations. This role oversees recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management while ensuring compliance with employment laws and KARM policies. The HR Manager will develop HR processes that support a Christ-centered, mission-driven culture, coach store leaders on staffing and engagement, coordinate benefits and leave administration, and support training, safety, and policy implementation to equip team members serving our thrift-store ministry and homeless outreach mission.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR operations for multiple retail locations in East Tennessee

• Manage full-cycle recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes

• Oversee employee relations, performance management, and corrective action

• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and KARM policies

• Administer benefits, leaves, and HR records with confidentiality

• Support training, safety, and policy implementation for store teams

• Coach store leaders on staffing, engagement, and conflict resolution

• Develop HR processes that reinforce a Christ-centered, mission-driven culture

• Support workforce planning and retention initiatives
