Here at GXO, we're recruiting for a HR Advisor to join our Sherburn-in-Elmet operation. This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00.
Working closely with the HR Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering the site's People Plan, driving colleague engagement, supporting communication strategies and providing insight through workforce analytics to help improve retention, attendance, performance and colleague experience across a large shared-user operation.

We're looking to offer a salary of £34,000 and 33 days annual leave including bank holidays. What you'll do on a typical day:

Lead and support colleague engagement initiatives, surveys, focus groups and action plans, helping to create a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Deliver effective site communications, ensuring colleagues remain informed, connected and engaged with business priorities and people initiatives.

Analyse workforce data and people metrics, identifying trends relating to attendance, turnover, retention, engagement and performance, and providing recommendations to site leadership.

Create and present people reports, dashboards and insights that support operational decision-making and continuous improvement.

Support the delivery of wellbeing, diversity, inclusion and recognition initiatives that enhance the colleague experience.

Partner with managers across the operation to support organisational effectiveness, workforce planning and talent development activities.

Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, including absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance cases, ensuring a fair and consistent approach.

Support key employee lifecycle activities including recruitment, onboarding, probation reviews and colleague development.
What you need to succeed at GXO:

Experience in a HR, People, Employee Engagement, Communications or People Analytics role within a fast-paced operational environment.

A genuine passion for employee engagement, culture, communications and improving colleague experience.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret workforce data, identify trends and make evidence-based recommendations.

Experience creating reports, presentations and communications for a variety of audiences.

Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence, challenge and build strong relationships at all levels.

Good understanding of employment law and employee relations processes.

Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
