The Role We are seeking an ambitious, strategic Business Development Manager to grow our surgical portfolio sales across the South of England (Birmingham down). This is a pivotal role focused on expanding the company's surgical product offering, identifying new business opportunities, and strengthening relationships across NHS and private healthcare settings. You will be the driving force behind regional growth, operating with a hunter mentality while also contributing to broader commercial strategy. A parallel BDM role will cover the North, creating a balanced national structure. Key Responsibilities - Grow revenue across the South region through proactive business development and strategic account management. - Identify, target, and convert new business opportunities within NHS Trusts and private hospitals. - Promote and expand the full surgical product portfolio, including advanced surgical energy and laparoscopic imaging solutions. - Build strong relationships with surgeons, theatre teams, procurement, and key stakeholders. - Deliver product demonstrations, training, and clinical support where required. - Develop and execute territory plans aligned with company growth objectives. - Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities. - Work closely with the Managing Director to influence and shape commercial strategy. - Represent the company at relevant clinical events, exhibitions, and conferences. Candidate Profile Essential Experience - Background in surgical capital devices, surgical consumable portfolio sales, or a closely related medical technology field. - Experience with advanced surgical energy, electrosurgery, laparoscopic imaging is highly desirable, experience with similar surgical technologies maybe considered. - Proven track record of winning new business - a genuine hunter who can open doors and win new business.
