Sales & Account Manager Location: Leeds (fully office-based) Salary: 30k- 45k + bonus The Role A driven Sales & Account Manager is required to take ownership of an existing account portfolio worth c. 600k, alongside a new business target of c. 150k per year. This is a replacement hire for a long-serving, successful salesperson. The role is predominantly office-based with virtually no face-to-face selling, business is generated through outbound telephone and email. This suits someone who genuinely enjoys office life, being part of a team, and having colleagues around them day to day. Full-time office attendance (5 days a week) is expected; this is not a hybrid or home-working role, and candidates should be comfortable with that from the outset. The Business An established B2B supplier with a long track record, known for product quality, strong customer content, on-time delivery, and straightforward service. The business operates from a modern site with teams across Sales, Marketing, Customer Services, Finance and Production. The Market Part of the business sits in a mature, traditional product category where digital alternatives are ever-present. However, the wider product range is growing steadily, and recent shifts in the operating environment continue to create fresh opportunity. Neither this business nor its competitors have fully exploited "ease of doing business" as a value point beyond the core product offering. The ideal candidate sees opportunity rather than a difficult market. The Person - Driven and competitive - Target and results-focused - Confident and positive - Proactive and commercially minded - Resilient and persistent - Comfortable creating their own opportunities - Motivated by winning Decision-makers in the customer base can be hard to reach, and many customers buy on an annual purchasing cycle, so persistence and a sense of urgency are essential. Experience Open to two profiles: - Emerging salesperson: relatively new to sales, hungry and ambitious, viewing this as a career-building opportunity. May come from a BD background looking to move into sales. - Experienced salesperson: a proven track record, viewing the challenge of growing an established business in a mature market (while ramping a newly launched product line) as an opportunity rather than a drawback. Mindset matters more than years of experience. Not a fit if you: - Prefer reactive account management to proactive selling - Are uncomfortable with outbound telephone sales - Need regular face-to-face meetings to sell - Lack urgency or competitive drive - Are primarily customer-service focused - Are looking for a role with significant home working Search is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.

Lone wolf, or aspirant founder of a new branch for one of the UK's fastest growing independents? Whether your ambition is to lead a team, or simply have more control over your day to day activities, this is a superb opportunity to forge an excellent career with perhaps the country's most exciting broker. Headed by a young management team who have clearly proven their entrepreneurial credentials already, this firm boasts a flat-management structure and an incredibly open, transparent culture - for example, from Administrators to the MD, all colleagues have access to everyone's emails. They also have a robust back-office support function, including a talented team of Account Handlers. Indeed, the MD describes the situation as, "we're over-resourced, and deliberately so." With this in mind, you can see how this firm's reputation for delivering outstanding client service is so richly deserved. Having enjoyed a sustained period of impressive, organic growth, the management team has continued to invest profits back into the business, and has now amassed a significant war chest to expand into new territories. This means they can commit to employing high calibre Account Executives without burdening them with punitive new business targets whilst covenants are observed. Whatever your longer-term aspirations, you will benefit from the support of the Directors to ensure you have everything you need to ensure your ambitions are hit; whether that's being a fully-remote Account Executive with a fantastic work life balance, or establishing a new team in your location and having a real say in the future direction of this business. Whilst this business is certainly geared up for remote-working, and you will have a dedicated team of Brokers and Account Handlers to support you, it is essential that you are an experienced Account Executive who is able to build a profitable portfolio without direct, daily supervision. As such, you must be a proactive self-starter with a strong work ethic who is prepared to 'put in the hard yards' in the early years of your employment. Whatever your ambitions, you will be supported in creating a business plan that clearly roadmaps the route ahead and support needed, but it is essential that you have firm ideas about how you will establish a portfolio that generates a longer-term profit. In return, you will receive a generous basic salary that competes with even the better paying national and global broking houses. Even more impressively, you will receive a lucrative bonus that pays 10% on all new business, and a perpetual 5% on renewals. Crucially, the 10% rate also applies to additional lines sold to existing clientele. In addition, you will receive an impressive range of company benefits.
