Corporate Tax Manager
Location: Manchester or Leeds
Salary: £55,000-£75,000 (flexibility DOE)
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join a growing professional services team, working closely with Tax Directors and Partners to deliver high-quality corporate tax services to a varied client portfolio.
The Role
You will take responsibility for managing the corporate tax compliance function across Manchester and Leeds, working with a range of complex clients including larger groups, higher-risk businesses and key strategic relationships.
Key responsibilities will include:

Managing and reviewing corporation tax computations and returns.

Overseeing tax accounting and ensuring compliance deadlines are met.

Acting as a key point of contact for clients on corporate tax matters, queries and enquiries.

Identifying and delivering corporate tax advisory opportunities.

Supporting clients with technical tax advice and keeping them informed of relevant developments.

Managing, mentoring and developing junior members of the corporate tax team.

Working collaboratively with wider tax and advisory teams to provide a joined-up service to clients.

Identifying opportunities to introduce additional services where appropriate.
About You
We're looking for an experienced corporate tax professional who can combine strong technical knowledge with a commercial and client-focused approach.
You will ideally have:

CTA, ACA or ACCA qualification.

At least 1 year's post-qualification experience within a UK practice environment in Corporate Tax.

Strong corporate tax compliance and advisory experience.

Experience working with complex clients, groups or higher-risk businesses.

Excellent technical knowledge and the ability to apply this creatively to client situations.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

The confidence to deal directly with clients at all levels.

Excellent organisation and time management skills.

A commercial mindset and enthusiasm for developing both client relationships and new opportunities.

Experience mentoring or developing junior team members would be advantageous.
