Communications Specialist

New River Electrical Corporation, an employee-owned leader in high-voltage utility and energy projects, seeks a Communications Specialist to strengthen internal and external messaging. In this role, you will create clear, engaging content that highlights safety, project excellence, and our employee-owned culture across email, web, social media, and presentations. You will support leadership communications, craft stories about field and office teams, assist with proposals and customer updates, and help manage brand consistency. Collaborate with operations, safety, and HR to align communications with strategic goals and support long-term growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop and distribute internal and external communications that support safety, project milestones, and company initiatives

• Create content for email, web, social media, presentations, and printed materials

• Support leadership with messages, talking points, and presentations for employees and customers

• Collaborate with operations, safety, HR, and project teams to gather stories and technical information

• Assist with marketing materials, proposals, and customer communications for utility and energy projects

• Maintain brand consistency and messaging standards across all channels

• Track and report on communication and campaign performance metrics

• Help manage social media presence and website content updates Required Skills
