Cash Application and Banking Associate

United Medical Systems (UMS) seeks a Cash Application and Banking Associate to support our mobile healthcare services nationwide. In this role, you will accurately post daily cash receipts, electronic payments, and lockbox activity, and reconcile multiple bank accounts to the general ledger. You will research payment discrepancies, resolve unapplied cash, and partner with billing, revenue cycle, and customer service teams. The position requires strong Excel and ERP skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to compliance, process accuracy, and timely reporting in a mission-driven healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Post daily cash receipts and electronic payments to customer accounts accurately and on time

• Reconcile bank statements, lockbox activity, and merchant deposits to the general ledger

• Research and resolve payment discrepancies, short pays, and unapplied cash

• Collaborate with billing, revenue cycle, and customer service teams to clarify remittance details

• Prepare and maintain cash application reports and reconciliations for management review

• Support month-end close by validating cash balances and resolving variances

• Maintain documentation and follow internal controls, compliance, and audit requirements

• Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders regarding payment issues

• Assist with process improvement initiatives in cash application and banking workflows

• Use ERP and banking platforms to streamline payment posting and reporting Required Skills
