Billing Specialist

Mom's Meals, a mission-driven provider of ready-to-heat meals, is seeking a Billing Specialist to support high-volume client and partner billing. In this role, you will prepare, review, and reconcile invoices for health plans, government programs, and individual customers, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal and external requirements. You'll research and resolve billing discrepancies, post payments, and collaborate closely with customer care, sales, and finance teams. Ideal candidates bring strong attention to detail, comfort with billing systems and spreadsheets, and a commitment to serving vulnerable populations in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit accurate invoices for health plans, government agencies, and individual customers.

• Reconcile billing data with order, delivery, and account records to ensure accuracy.

• Post payments, apply credits, and manage adjustments within billing and accounting systems.

• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, denials, and customer disputes in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with customer care, sales, and finance teams to support client billing needs.

• Maintain up-to-date, organized billing records and documentation for audits and reporting.

• Monitor aging reports and support collections activities as needed.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, contracts, and applicable billing regulations.

• Support process improvements to increase billing accuracy and efficiency.

• Protect sensitive client and payer information in line with privacy and security standards.
