Job Description
Midwest Family Mutual Insurance Company seeks an Auto Material Damage Adjuster to investigate, evaluate, and resolve auto property damage claims. In this role, you will review photos and estimates, determine coverage and liability, negotiate fair settlements, and collaborate closely with independent agents, repair facilities, and policyholders. You'll document claim files thoroughly, follow regulations and company guidelines, and contribute to a respectful, service-driven culture with strong development and growth opportunities.
Responsibilities

Investigate auto material damage claims from first notice through resolution

Inspect vehicle damage using photos, estimates, and repair facility documentation

Analyze policy language to determine coverage, liability, and settlement options

Prepare and review repair estimates, supplements, and total loss evaluations

Negotiate settlements with body shops, claimants, and independent agents

Document claim files thoroughly and maintain accurate, timely records

Collaborate with agents and internal teams to provide responsive service

Identify potential fraud indicators and follow special investigation procedures

Adhere to state regulations, company guidelines, and best claims practices
