Assistant Controller

Consolidated Precision Products is seeking an Assistant Controller to support financial operations in our advanced manufacturing environment. This role assists with monthly close, cost accounting, forecasting, and financial reporting for aerospace casting and machining operations. The Assistant Controller will ensure compliance with GAAP, support audits, analyze variances, and partner with plant leadership on budgeting and performance metrics. You will leverage ERP data, drive process improvements, and support continuous improvement initiatives in a safety- and quality-focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and reporting in accordance with GAAPAssist with cost accounting, standard cost updates, and inventory valuation for manufacturing operations

• Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial models for plant and corporate leadership

• Perform variance, margin, and cost analyses and present insights to operations and finance teams

• Maintain and improve internal controls, ensuring compliance and audit readiness

• Leverage ERP and financial systems to produce accurate, timely financial and operational reports

• Support internal and external audits with schedules, documentation, and process explanations

• Partner with operations on KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance profitability

• Help develop and refine financial policies, procedures, and accounting processes

• Collaborate across sites to standardize reporting, share best practices, and support growth initiatives Required Skills
