Assistant Controller

Consolidated Precision Products seeks an Assistant Controller to support plant-level and consolidated financial operations in a complex aerospace manufacturing environment. The role oversees monthly close, cost accounting, inventory valuation, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and corporate policies. This position partners with operations to analyze variances, support pricing and capital projects, and drive margin and cost improvements. The Assistant Controller will prepare budgets and forecasts, coordinate audits, mentor accounting staff, and contribute to cross-plant continuous improvement and ERP optimization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close for plant and consolidated reporting

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAPOversee cost accounting, standard cost updates, and inventory valuation

• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes and monitor performance vs. plan

• Perform variance and margin analysis to support operations and pricing

• Maintain and improve internal controls and compliance with corporate policies

• Support internal and external audits and prepare required schedules

• Partner with manufacturing leadership on cost reduction and CI initiatives

• Develop financial models to support capital investments and business cases

• Supervise and mentor accounting staff and optimize ERP/accounting systems Required Skills
