    Job Description

    Account Manager / Customer Service Role

    5 days fully onsite

    This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market-leading manufacturing organisation as a Customer Service / Account Manager , taking full ownership of a portfolio of European customer accounts and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

    As the primary point of contact for your customers, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships, managing orders from receipt through to delivery, and ensuring customer requirements are met accurately and efficiently. The role offers a high level of responsibility and variety, requiring close collaboration with internal departments and international colleagues.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage and develop strong relationships with a designated portfolio of European customers.

    • Act as the key point of contact for all customer enquiries and account requirements.

    • Process customer orders, quotations, delivery schedules, and logistics requirements.

    • Ensure customer purchase orders are managed accurately and efficiently from start to finish.

    • Liaise with internal departments, particularly Warehouse and Finance, to ensure smooth order fulfilment.

    • Support Business Development teams across the UK, Europe and the USA.

    • Maintain accurate customer records, administration systems, and filing processes.

    • Produce reports on customer activity and performance as required.

    • Resolve customer queries and provide solutions in a professional and timely manner.

    • Advise customers on suitable products, part numbers, and logistics arrangements where appropriate.

    About You

    To succeed in this role, you will be an organised, customer-focused professional with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail.

    You will possess:

    • Previous experience in customer service, account management, sales administration, or order processing.

    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

    • A proactive and solutions-focused approach.

    • Strong numerical accuracy, particularly when working with part numbers, quantities, pricing, and multiple currencies.

    • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.

    • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and other Office applications.

    • The ability to work effectively across multiple departments and manage competing priorities.

    • A calm, positive, and professional manner.

    • A flexible approach and the ability to adapt to changing business needs.

    • A collaborative team-player mindset.

    Desirable Experience

    The following would be advantageous but are not essential:

    • Experience within a manufacturing, warehouse distribution, logistics, or supply chain environment.
