Test Engineer

Viable Engineering Solutions LLC seeks a Test Engineer to validate and document performance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) designs for commercial and industrial projects. You will develop and execute test plans for HVAC, lighting, and power systems, analyze results, and verify compliance with client requirements, codes, and standards. Working in a collaborative small-team environment, you'll partner with design engineers, refine test methods, and support troubleshooting. This role offers broad project exposure, direct client interaction, mentorship, and opportunities to advance into technical or project leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans for HVAC, lighting, and power system designs

• Validate MEP system performance against specifications, codes, and standards

• Document test procedures, results, and defects in clear technical reports

• Collaborate with design engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues

• Analyze test data to identify trends and recommend design or control improvements

• Support commissioning and field verification activities as needed

• Maintain and calibrate test equipment and measurement setups

• Participate in continuous improvement of testing methods and tools

• Coordinate with clients and project managers on testing scope and results

• Ensure testing practices align with safety and regulatory requirements Required Skills
