Key Deliverables & Scope of Services The Consultancy/Contractor will be responsible for producing the following project outcomes: - Software Architecture & Design: Define, architect, and document scalable embedded software architectures aligned with system and product requirements for electric drive controllers (motor control, charging, DC-DC control, and diagnostics). - Embedded Development: Write, review, and deliver high-quality embedded C code using model-based design, autocode generation, and manual coding techniques in accordance with MISRA C and ASPICE standards. - Delivery & Governance: Establish software delivery milestones, maintain change control, manage software risk, and define version control / CI/CD pipeline strategies for the project. - Hardware & System Integration: Lead software-hardware integration on embedded target hardware, HIL setups, and test dynamometers. - Verification & Validation (V&V): Oversee and implement complete test strategies (unit, integration, and HIL testing) with full requirement-to-code traceability. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with hardware, systems, and test engineering functions to define technical interfaces, requirements, and system-level root cause resolution. - Compliance & Standards Support: Ensure all technical deliverables align with functional safety guidelines (ISO 26262), quality standards, and relevant regulatory frameworks. Essential Technical Expertise & Experience The ideal Contractor/PSC will demonstrate proven commercial expertise in: - Embedded C software development and architecture for electric drive platforms, motor control, DC-DC, and inverter power electronics. - Model-based software development (Simulink/Stateflow, TargetLink, or Embedded Coder) and manual embedded coding. - Deep understanding of ASPICE processes, ISO 26262 functional safety standards, and MISRA C compliance. - Defining software verification strategies, requirements traceability, and testing methodologies (Unit, HIL, Dynamometer, Bench). - Configuration management, version control (Git), automated build setups, and continuous integration pipelines. - Strong technical leadership capabilities to drive deliverables, guide technical decisions, and deliver project outcomes independently Randstad Technologies is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.

    Lead Software Engineer Hybrid Norwich This is an opportunity to join an innovative engineering company developing next-generation electric drive systems.
