Tax Preparer

H&R Block seeks a Tax Associate to deliver accurate, compliant tax preparation and exceptional client service. Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate individual and small business tax returns using H&R Block systems and tax software

• Conduct client interviews to gather financial information and determine appropriate tax treatments

• Research and apply current federal, state, and local tax laws, credits, and deductions

• Review documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with tax regulations

• Explain tax results, refund and payment options, and next steps to clients in clear language

• Maintain detailed records and update client files in accordance with company and regulatory standards

• Identify potential tax savings opportunities and recommend additional H&R Block products or services when appropriate

• Collaborate with office team members during peak tax season to manage workflow and client scheduling

• Protect client confidentiality and adhere to strict ethical and compliance standards

• Participate in ongoing tax, compliance, and customer service training offered by H&R Block Required Skills
