Staff Accountant

Ascend Vision Partners is seeking a Staff Accountant to support our growing network of ophthalmology and optometry practices. In this role, you will own key aspects of the general ledger, monthly close, reconciliations, and financial reporting for multiple locations. You will partner closely with operations and clinical leaders to deliver accurate, timely financial insight that supports excellent patient care. Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities for supported practices

• Assist with financial statement preparation, variance analysis, and reporting to finance leadership and practice partners

• Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking for multiple ophthalmology and optometry locations

• Review invoices, expense reports, and vendor statements; assist with AP/AR as needed

• Collaborate with operations and clinical leaders to provide financial insights that support patient care and practice performance

• Participate in process improvements, system enhancements, and standardization across the platform

• Support audits, regulatory reporting, and internal control documentation

• Maintain accurate financial records in ERP/accounting systems and Excel-based models

• Assist with ad-hoc analysis and special projects in a fast-growing, multi-practice environment Required Skills
