Software Engineer

Sittercity is hiring a Software Engineer to help build secure, scalable childcare marketplace solutions in our Denver RiNo office. In this hybrid role, you'll design, develop, and maintain web applications that connect families with trusted caregivers. You'll collaborate with product, design, and data teams to ship high-quality features, improve performance, and enhance safety tools such as background checks and secure messaging. Ideal candidates bring strong full-stack or backend web experience, a focus on code quality, and passion for solving real problems for parents and sitters in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain web application features for Sittercity's childcare marketplace

• Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to plan and deliver roadmap initiatives

• Implement secure, scalable APIs and services focused on trust and safety

• Write clean, tested, and maintainable code following best practices and code reviews

• Optimize application performance, reliability, and monitoring

• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision-making

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement efforts

• Support production systems, troubleshoot issues, and ship iterative improvements Required Skills
