Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster

Gallagher Bassett seeks a Senior Claims Adjuster, Workers' Compensation to manage complex lost-time claims across GA, NC, and SC. In this role, you will investigate workplace injuries, determine compensability, set and adjust reserves, and negotiate fair, cost-effective resolutions. You will coordinate medical management, evaluate return to work options, and ensure timely, accurate payments in compliance with state statutes and client guidelines. The position requires strong file documentation, litigation coordination, and client reporting, while mentoring junior adjusters and contributing to continuous process improvement in a professional, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex workers' compensation claims from intake through closure across GA, NC, and SCConduct thorough investigations, obtain statements, and determine compensability and coverage

• Establish, monitor, and adjust reserves in line with company and client guidelines

• Coordinate medical management, evaluate treatment plans, and support return to work efforts

• Negotiate settlements and resolve claims cost effectively while maintaining quality outcomes

• Ensure statutory compliance with state workers' compensation laws and reporting requirements

• Prepare clear, timely documentation, reports, and recommendations for clients and leadership

• Collaborate with defense counsel on litigated files and attend mediations or hearings as needed

• Provide responsive, professional service to clients, injured workers, and internal stakeholders

• Mentor junior adjusters and contribute to process improvement initiatives Required Skills
