Senior Systems Engineer
Job Description
Trenton Systems is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to design, integrate, and support rugged, high-performance computing solutions for defense, aerospace, and industrial customers. You will lead system architecture, configuration, and validation of secure servers and workstations for harsh, mission-critical environments. Responsibilities include requirements analysis, hardware/software integration, performance and environmental testing, troubleshooting complex issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, security, and long-life support for USA-made rugged systems that power critical missions.
Responsibilities

Design and lead system architecture for rugged servers, workstations, and embedded systems

Integrate hardware and software components, including OS, firmware, and drivers

Perform requirements analysis and translate customer needs into technical specifications

Execute performance, environmental, and reliability testing for mission-critical systems

Troubleshoot complex system issues and drive root-cause analysis and resolution

Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams on product development

Implement secure configurations and support cybersecurity and compliance requirements

Create and maintain technical documentation, configurations, and test procedures

Provide technical support to manufacturing, quality, and customer-facing teams
