Senior Supply Chain Cost Accountant

Avanos Medical is seeking a Senior Accountant, Supply Chain to support financial operations across our global medtech supply network. In this role, you will own cost accounting, inventory valuation, standard costing, and margin analysis for manufacturing and distribution activities. You will partner closely with operations, sourcing, and finance to develop budgets and forecasts, analyze variances, and drive cost improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include month-end close, reconciliations, audits, and preparing management reports. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented accountant passionate about improving patient outcomes through operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Manage supply chain cost accounting, including standard costing and inventory valuation

• Perform month-end close activities, reconciliations, and journal entries for supply chain entities

• Analyze manufacturing and distribution variances and provide actionable insights to operations

• Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting for supply chain costs and inventory

• Prepare financial reports and dashboards for supply chain leadership and corporate finance

• Partner with sourcing, operations, and logistics to evaluate cost savings initiatives

• Maintain and improve internal controls over inventory and cost accounting processes

• Support internal and external audits with required schedules and documentation

• Assist in developing and refining financial models for margin and profitability analysis

• Contribute to continuous improvement projects across finance and supply chain functions Required Skills
