Senior Software Engineer

DS2 is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build secure, mission-critical software supporting Army rapid capability programs. In this role, you will lead architecture and development of modern cloud-based services, modeling and simulation tools, and data-driven mission systems for U.S. defense customers. You will collaborate with engineers, analysts, and military stakeholders, drive technical decisions, and mentor teammates. This position offers a collaborative, defense-focused environment with complex challenges, modern tech stacks, and impactful work directly supporting U.S. military operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical software solutions for Army rapid capability programs.

• Lead technical design reviews, code quality standards, and architecture decisions.

• Collaborate with defense stakeholders to translate mission needs into software requirements.

• Implement secure, scalable, and testable services, APIs, and data workflows.

• Guide and mentor engineers, promoting best practices and modern development tools.

• Integrate with modeling, simulation, and analytics systems to support mission operations.
