Senior Property Claims Representative

Michigan Farm Bureau seeks a Senior Property Claims Representative to handle complex residential and farm property claims. In this member-focused role, you'll investigate losses, conduct field inspections, interpret policies, and negotiate fair settlements while ensuring regulatory compliance. You will mentor junior adjusters, collaborate with internal teams, and help improve claims processes. Responsibilities

• Independently investigate and evaluate complex residential and farm property claims

• Interpret policy language to determine coverage, liability, and appropriate settlements

• Conduct on-site inspections, document damages, and prepare detailed estimates

• Negotiate fair claim resolutions with members, contractors, and other parties

• Maintain accurate claim files, reserves, and regulatory-compliant documentation

• Collaborate with underwriting, legal, and policy teams on emerging risk and claim trends

• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior claims staff

• Deliver empathetic, timely communication to members throughout the claims process
