Senior Manager, Software Engineering

Cox Automotive seeks a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead teams building cloud-based platforms that power automotive retail and media experiences across brands like Autotrader and Kelley Blue Book. In this role, you'll define technical strategy, guide architecture, and champion modern engineering practices including APIs, microservices, and CI/CD. You'll partner with product, data, and UX to deliver secure, scalable solutions used by dealers and consumers worldwide, while growing and coaching a high-performing, inclusive engineering organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor software engineering teams delivering scalable telecom and media platforms for Cox Automotive brands

• Own technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for key applications and services

• Collaborate with product, data, and UX to define requirements and prioritize backlogs

• Ensure high standards for code quality, security, performance, and reliability

• Drive adoption of cloud-native, API-first, and CI/CD best practices

• Manage vendor relationships, budgets, and resource planning

• Establish and track engineering KPIs to guide continuous improvement
