    Job Description

    Methodist Health System seeks a Senior Epic Analyst to support our mission of compassionate, high quality care across Texas. This role will lead the design, configuration, and optimization of Epic solutions within the Information Technology & Digital Solutions department, partnering closely with clinicians and operational leaders. Responsibilities include workflow analysis, build, testing, troubleshooting, and upgrade support, ensuring reliable, user friendly systems. You will mentor junior analysts and contribute to governance, while thriving in a culture of integrity, collaboration, and accountability.     Responsibilities

    • Lead design, build, and optimization of Epic modules to support clinical and revenue cycle workflows

    • Collaborate with clinicians, IT, and operational leaders to gather requirements and translate them into Epic solutions

    • Configure, test, and document system changes, enhancements, and integrations

    • Perform root-cause analysis and resolve complex Epic issues and tickets

    • Develop and execute testing plans; support upgrades, patches, and new feature deployment

    • Maintain Epic build standards, security, and data integrity

    • Create and deliver end-user training and reference materials

    • Participate in on-call rotation and provide go-live and post implementation support

    • Use data and reporting tools to monitor system performance and recommend improvements

    • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to governance and change management processes Required Skills

    • Epic system configuration and build (e.g., Epic

    • Care, Orders, Clinical Documentation, or Revenue Cycle modules)

    • Epic workflow analysis and optimization

    • Epic testing and upgrade management

    • SQL or report writing (e.g., Clarity, Caboodle, or similar)

    • Healthcare clinical and/or revenue cycle workflow knowledge

    • Requirements gathering and stakeholder communication

    • Change management and documentation in regulated environments

    • Interface/integration concepts (HL7/FHIR or similar)

    • Troubleshooting and root cause analysis

    • End user training and support
