    MEICA Recruitment Consultant / Senior Recruitment Consultant

    Location: Ellesmere Port (Office Based & hybrid models available)

    Core Hours: 9am-4pm Monday-Friday Salary: Competitive Reports To: Managing Director

    The Opportunity

    We are seeking an ambitious and driven Recruitment Consultant or Senior Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team.

    This is a genuine 360 recruitment role where you will have responsibility for developing client relationships, sourcing and placing candidates, growing your own specialist market and supporting us with recruitment delivery on a profitable desk.

    You'll be supported by experienced leaders, established client relationships, specialist technology, marketing support and a structured career pathway designed to help you progress your career to the next level.

    Key Responsibilities

    Business Development

    • Identify, engage and win new client opportunities.

    • Build and manage your own portfolio of clients.

    • Generate leads through networking, referrals and market mapping.

    • Conduct client meetings both virtually and face-to-face.

    • Negotiate fees, terms of business and commercial agreements.

    • Develop long-term strategic relationships.

    Candidate Management

    • Source candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, referrals and networking.

    • Conduct candidate qualification and competency-based interviews.

    • Build and maintain talent pools within your specialist market.

    • Prepare and manage candidate shortlists.

    • Deliver an excellent candidate experience throughout the hiring process.

    • Provide market insight, salary guidance and career advice.

    Recruitment Delivery

    • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from vacancy qualification through to placement.

    • Coordinate interviews and manage offer negotiations.

    • Work closely with clients to understand hiring requirements and project demands.

    • Manage contractor compliance, onboarding and welfare.

    • Ensure all recruitment activity complies with company processes and legislation.

    CRM & Administration

    • Maintain accurate records within the CRM system.

    • Manage pipeline activity and forecasts.

    • Track KPIs and billing performance.

    • Produce quality candidate and client documentation.

    • Ensure all candidate data is compliant and up to date.

    What We're Looking For

    Essential

    • Previous recruitment experience, ideally within a specialist, technical or professional services environment.

    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

    • Commercial awareness and confidence negotiating with clients.

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    • Self-motivated, organised and resilient.

    • Strong attention to detail and administrative accuracy.

    Desirable

    • Experience recruiting within engineering, construction, energy, utilities or industrial sectors.

    • Knowledge of contract and permanent recruitment.

    • Experience using CRM systems

    • Understanding of highly regulated industries.
