R&D IT Infrastructure Specialist

What You Will Do:

• Own the end-to-end management of IT infrastructure services for R&D facilities, including network, compute, storage, backup, collaboration, endpoints and laboratory environments.

• Lead infrastructure projects for new R&D labs, test environments, engineering workspaces, simulation platforms and specialised technology zones.

• Ensure high availability, performance, reliability and security for critical R&D workloads and engineering data platforms.

• Partner with R&D, engineering, cybersecurity, enterprise IT, and external vendors to deliver infrastructure solutions that meet business needs.

• Drive incident, problem, change and service request management using ITIL-aligned practices and internal governance.

• Support compliance, audits and disaster recovery planning, including business continuity testing for R&D IT infrastructure.

What You Will Bring:

• 8 to 10 years' experience in IT infrastructure, site IT operations, or enterprise infrastructure delivery, with hands-on exposure to service operations.

• At least 3 to 5 years' experience managing infrastructure teams or cross-functional technology programmes, ideally including vendor management.

• Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, server and storage platforms, virtualisation, cloud services, backup, monitoring and disaster recovery.

• Practical cybersecurity awareness, including access controls, network segmentation and vulnerability remediation in operational settings.

• Experience supporting laboratory, engineering, simulation, and R&D environments, including readiness and handover activities.
