Quotations Engineer

Kratos Industries LLC seeks a Quotations Engineer to support Sales & Business Development in the Defense & Aerospace market. In this role, you will translate complex structural steel, plate, and pipe fabrication specifications into accurate, competitive quotations for large industrial and infrastructure projects. You'll review RFQs, conduct material takeoffs, develop pricing models, and coordinate closely with engineering, project management, and field teams to define scope, schedule, and risk. Success in this position requires strong technical reading skills, cost analysis capability, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a fast growing, team oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQs, drawings, and specifications for Defense & Aerospace and industrial projects to define scope and requirements.

• Perform detailed material takeoffs for structural steel, plate, and pipe fabrication and field installation.

• Develop accurate cost estimates including materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and indirects.

• Prepare formal quotations and proposals in coordination with Sales & Business Development.

• Coordinate with engineering, project management, and operations to validate scope, constructability, and schedule assumptions.

• Identify and quantify risks, value engineering options, and alternate proposals to improve competitiveness.

• Maintain pricing databases, historical cost data, and estimating tools for continuous improvement.

• Participate in customer calls, clarifications, and negotiations alongside sales leadership.

• Ensure all quotations align with company safety, quality, and contractual standards.

• Support handoff of awarded projects to execution teams with clear scope and cost documentation.
