Principal Application Developer

Prime Health Services, Inc., a national medical PPO network, is seeking a Principal Application Developer to lead design and delivery of enterprise healthcare applications that power cost-containment solutions. In this senior hands-on role, you will own application architecture, guide technical standards, and mentor developers while collaborating with product, data, and operations teams. Responsibilities include designing scalable services, APIs, and integrations, improving claims-processing workflows, ensuring performance, security, and compliance, and driving continuous improvement across the SDLC in a client-focused, quality-driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and maintenance of enterprise healthcare applications and services

• Define and own application architecture, coding standards, and best practices

• Design and implement scalable APIs, integrations, and data workflows for claims processing

• Collaborate with product, data, and operations teams to translate business needs into technical solutions

• Ensure application performance, security, reliability, and regulatory compliance (including HIPAA)

• Mentor and guide developers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical coaching

• Drive adoption of modern Dev

• Ops, CI/CD, testing, and monitoring practices

• Troubleshoot complex production issues and lead root-cause analysis and remediation

• Evaluate and introduce new tools, frameworks, and patterns to improve the SDLCContribute to a client-focused, quality-driven, collaborative engineering culture Required Skills
