Payroll & Benefits Administrator
Job Description
Kirtland Federal Credit Union seeks a Payroll & Benefits Administrator to manage end-to-end payroll processing and employee benefits for our Albuquerque-based financial cooperative. In this member-focused, service-driven environment, you'll ensure accurate, timely payroll, administer health, retirement, and wellness benefits, and maintain compliance with federal and New Mexico regulations. You'll partner with HR, finance, and managers, support employee inquiries with care and confidentiality, and help improve processes that support our mission of financial well-being and community service.
Responsibilities

Process biweekly payroll accurately and on time for all employees

Administer medical, dental, vision, life, and 401k benefits, including enrollments and changes

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and credit union payroll and benefits policies

Maintain HRIS and payroll records, reports, and audits for accuracy and confidentiality

Reconcile payroll and benefit deductions with finance and external vendors

Respond to employee payroll and benefits inquiries with clear, service-oriented support

Assist with onboarding and offboarding related to payroll and benefits

Prepare payroll and benefits reports for HR and management decision-making

Support year-end tasks, including W-2s, ACA reporting, and audits

Recommend process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and member-focused service Required Skills
