    Payroll Administrator

    Location: Yeovil

    Salary: £25,000 - £30,000

    Hours: Full-time or Part-time (minimum 30 hours per week)

    Working Pattern: Office-based during training, with hybrid working available thereafter

    Due to continued growth, a well-established accountancy practice in Yeovil is looking to recruit a Payroll Administrator to join its busy payroll department. Working as part of a close-knit team, you'll be responsible for delivering an accurate and efficient payroll service to a diverse client portfolio while enjoying excellent support and development opportunities.

    This opportunity would suit someone with previous payroll experience who enjoys building client relationships, working as part of a team and managing a varied workload in a fast-paced practice environment.

    The Role

    As Payroll Administrator, your responsibilities will include:

    • Processing end-to-end payrolls for a portfolio of clients

    • Managing weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly and monthly payrolls

    • Processing starters, leavers and contractual changes

    • Calculating statutory payments including SSP, SMP and SPP

    • Managing pension administration and auto-enrolment duties

    • Submitting RTI information to HMRC

    • Handling payroll queries from clients and employees

    • Maintaining accurate payroll records and ensuring compliance with payroll legislation

    • Supporting colleagues within the payroll team during busy periods About You

    To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:

    • Previous payroll experience within an accountancy practice, payroll bureau or in-house payroll environment

    • Knowledge of current payroll legislation and processes

    • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

    • Excellent organisational and time management skills

    • The ability to work effectively to deadlines

    • Strong communication and customer service skills

    • Experience using payroll software and Microsoft Excel What's on Offer?
