The Role: Compliance Investigator As a Compliance Investigator , the successful candidate will: - Conduct thorough investigations into compliance incidents, discrepancies, and safety concerns using Root Cause Analysis methodologies - Perform MEDA investigations and identify human factors and performance issues - Ensure strict adherence to UK CAA/EASA Part 145, Part CAMO, Part 21 G, and company-specific MRO compliance standards - Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to develop robust audit and inspection processes - Support regulatory audits and coordinate responses to findings, ensuring timely non-conformance resolution - Provide detailed investigation reports with recommendations to senior management and regulatory bodies - Track and maintain corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) What We're Looking For Essential Requirements for the Compliance Investigator Role: - Proven experience conducting compliance investigations within an aviation maintenance or aerospace environment - Expert knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and problem-solving methodologies - In-depth understanding of EASA Part 145, UK CAA regulations, and industry safety standards - Strong knowledge of human factors principles, including human performance and limitations - Ability to analyse technical documentation, maintenance records, and regulatory requirements - Experience conducting audits and inspections within maintenance organisations - Excellent report writing, analytical, and presentation skills - Proficiency in compliance monitoring tools, quality management systems (QMS), and data analysis software - Formal training in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and investigative techniques - Security Clearance (SC) or ability to obtain it Desirable Qualifications: - Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies - Experience conducting MEDA investigations - Knowledge of UK CAA/EASA Part CAMO, Part 21 G, and Military Aviation Authority (MAA) regulations - ISO 9001 or AS 9100 Aviation standards knowledge - Aviation Safety Management Systems (SMS) certification - Aviation Auditor or Lead Auditor certification - Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification The Details - Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:00 (37.5 hours per week) - Pay Rate: 24.89 per hour (PAYE) or 33.29 per hour (Umbrella) - Travel: None required - Security Clearance: DBS required; this company will support the clearance process - IR35 Status: Off-payroll working rules apply Why Join This Company? In this position, you will drive the operational security initiatives necessary to achieve and maintain formal security frameworks and attestation standards (including SOC 2 Type I/II lifecycles). You will translate complex trust criteria into practical, sustainable controls, bridge operational gaps, coordinate external audits, and elevate day-to-day security engineering across cloud platforms, products, and supply chains. Collaborating closely with engineering, product, legal, and operational teams, you will ensure security measures are robust, scalable, and integrated seamlessly without causing business friction.
